Bamboo pen Wacom

Hubby got me a Bamboo pen for my birthday, great. I use a Wacom tablet on the computer downstairs, love it too! Wanted one for upstairs, getting to old in knees to be running up and down, bad enough when washing clothes. This little fella is great I have been using it with Elements 8 which is a really nice program, I had upgraded from Elements 5. I would put my stamp of approvel on both Bamboo and Elements 8. Of course I am still learning about 8 lots of new things to work with...

Snow cowboys at the fence

Been one of those days, snow flurries all day, nothing sticking but cold and nasty. Off to Knoxville tomorrow, hoping the snow does not lay on the roads tonight. Hubby has a doctor's appointment in the morning, he slipped and busted his butt on our front steps (black ice) did a number on his ankle, it is black and blue.
I have worked on a commission for the last week or more, I tend to take a lot longer on something for a collector, I tried to get everything just right. Not like something you are doing because you really like it...I wish I could look in their mind to see what they wanted.
Oh well in my next life (mind reading artist)...the last 2 illustrations are from my children's book "Cowboy Snowman"

Geez Will it ever stop? Snow

The South is getting hammered with snow, but not here today, they are calling snow here Sunday morning, that's my birthday and for the last 2 years it has snowed. Oh well, I guess I will work on a commission I have to finish soon. We have always on our birthday's picked what the birthday person wants to do or where to go and eat, the whole day is theirs to do as they wish within reason.

Maybe the weather man will be wrong....I can wish...

If this bad weather keeps up I will get a lot of painting done. It's what I love doing. "Chickadee and Wine" watercolor pencils seems to be my choice these days.

New design ready

"Barn Swallow and Posies" Watercolor pencils, available for licensing. Loving the time off from shows to be able to paint just a little different style than I usually do. Of course the wet and wild weather we are having helps too. I get to explore some unusual things that seems to roam around in my mind. I have always finished a painting in my mind before I commit it to paper, choosing the colors is done as I paint. I will be doing some more of these comtempary posies.
