Gatlinburg Craftsmen's Fair

Be sure to mark your calender's for July 17 -26 and spend a day at the Craftsmen's Fair in beautiful Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Held at the convention center. Great shopping with artists and craftspeople, unique and very unusual fine art and crafts. I will have lots of New originals and New greeting cards. These cards make wonderful matted and framed art (8 x 10 sizes. )
Great gifts, images are either from my acrylics or watercolors or my photos I have re-vamped using Photoshop or my Wacom tablet. I just love the different look you can create with these using these tools.

eating from the garden

As most of you know East Tn., was hammered with storms the last couple of days. Today it missed our section, Thank You God. We ended up at dark yesterday with a small lake in the front yard, our corn blown over and both ends of the garden flooded. Well today I went to pick our first mess of beans, discovered our potatoes were uncovered by the hard rain. The corn is still down, hopefully tomorrow we will get it back up. On the brighter side we had a great mess of green beans, new red potatoes, cucumbers and onions, the only thing that did not come out of our garden was tomatoes we had. Lots of beans yet to eat.

I am hoping the very bad storms are over for a while for everyone. Some people have had some bad damage in our area, down trees, lightning and high wind.

Tomorrow we will try to get the yard mowed.

Great day to be alive

This a beautiful day in East Tennessee, since most of our Saturdays have been on the wet side. This is really nice, worked in the garden, B mowed the yard. Last evening we had a mess of new red pototoes out of the garden.

We have feral cat (He's yellow tiger striped) who comes to eat every morning and evening and if we are on the porch he comes to visit. Most nights he sleeps in one of the chairs. We have named him Dirty Paws, our white porch has become polka-dotted with kitty prints since last winter. Last summer we had a momma cat that had 4 kittens under one of the yard barns, our neighbor's dog chased a yellow kitten up one of our trees and of course crazy woman that I am. I chased the dog off with a few chosen words and a big stick. Much to our neighbor dismay. He's getting tamer by the day, maybe one of these days he will let me pet him. He has been a good chaser of rabbits and squirrels, out of the garden so you could say he is earning his food. Now if he could just take care of the bugs.. I will try to get a picture of him to post soon.
